What is Swiss Chalet?
Swiss Chalet is a restaurant chain primarily in Canada but also found in the United States, Mexico, and around the world. There are over 200 Swiss Chalet chains nationwide with many more opening throughout the year. The main attraction of a Swiss Chalet is its fare which consists of rotisserie chicken and slow cooked rib dishes. They also serve a variety of sides including home fries with poutine, sweet potatoes, their famous pies and others! Swiss Chalet was first founded in Toronto in 1954 as a small ice cream stand by Leonard Chalet. Over time it grew into a full fledged restaurant and can now be found within malls as well as standalone locations all across Canada.
